“Awesome night Pete, glad to have made the journey. Felt like ‘an audience with … ‘ great music, on the ball chat and up close with everyone there. Top drawer, all round entertainment.
PS I hope your kit survived the table crashing to the floor at the end of the night  - Table Collapsed”

Cliftonville Care Home, Northampton. 1940′s Tribute Show, 2011 -

Thanks again for singing at Cliftonville Care Home last week in memory of my Grandma. As a family we really appreciated it and it has helped my Dad (who flew all the way from Germany to hear you!) draw a line under what’s happened recently. Many thanks, Helen.

Crowds were also kept entertained by singer Peter Wayre who sung a number of wartime classics including ‘Roll out the Barrel’, ‘We’ll Meet Again and ‘White Cliffs of Dover.’ Ms Archer added: “Peter’s singing was a real highlight and definitely added to the atmosphere.“There were people dancing in the street to the tunes he was singing.

Hi Pete, was great meeting you at Holme Village last Saturday. Hope Matt signs you up for his Spitfire balls, plus his Festival of the Forties at Thorpe Hall Peterborough next July (if he doesnt I shall want to know why!). We love any excuse to dance and your singing was fab.We support Matt if he needs any dancers or re-enactors so hopefully will see you again at some point. Amanda

“The two male Vocalists were impressive in their own right, One having the confidence to leap in amongst the audience, Michrophone in hand” (Pete)

You don’t hear Leo Sayer Covers at Showcases very often but Vocalist Pete Wayre did a cracking job with his choice. Good as it was, there was no real hint of the excellence that was to come, namely a powerful, full throttle version of a number from The Matador Musical  A Boy From Nowhere. With just one song he succeeded in raising his set to another, higher level and this was surely a performance to make a fair few present sit up, take notice and take a note of the name.

The Stage Newspaper 2005, Competition Review, National Final, Theatre, Bridlington -

Pete Wayre seemed more the finished article, for he appears to have the last 5 years as a professional entertainer, largely on Holiday Centres but with excursions into allied fields. He also knows how to get the best out of two songs, on this occasion We Will Rock You and the dramatic A Boy From Nowhere.

Show review by Joe Pasquale, Circus Tavern, Essex, 1999 -

Pete Wayre has a powerful and rich voice, something I cannot say about myself! He will be a big star soon!

Show Review by Richard Digance, Circus Tavern, Essex, 1999 -

Pete Wayre is as good a ballad Singer as Robbie Williams. His vocal talents will carry him far. Watch out for this guy! Mature for his age and with excellent stage presence  he will go far!
